Privacy Policy for AnyChat

Effective Date: February 4, 2026

AnyChat is a local-first chat client. This policy explains what the app stores, what it sends, and what it does not collect.

What We Store On Your Device

  • Chat threads and messages are saved in a local database on your device.
  • API keys are stored in the iOS/macOS Keychain.
  • Service settings (like base URLs) are stored in UserDefaults.

What We Send To AI Providers

When you send a message, AnyChat sends your prompt and the conversation history to the provider you selected (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or your local model server). Those providers process the request under their own privacy terms.

What We Do Not Collect

  • No analytics or tracking.
  • No advertising identifiers.
  • No account system.

Data Retention

Your chat history stays on your device until you delete it or remove the app.

Backend Services

AnyChat does not currently operate its own backend. If we add backend services in the future, we will update this policy with the data collected, purpose, and retention details.

Security

We store API keys in the system Keychain and keep chats in local storage. We do not run our own servers at this time.

Changes

We may update this policy. The latest version will be posted here.
