Privacy Policy for PitchPerfect Apps

Introduction
This Privacy Policy applies to PitchPerfect: Tuner and PitchPerfect Monitor. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains how we handle your information when you use our mobile applications.
Information We Collect
Anonymous Usage Counts
PitchPerfect apps count which parts of the app you use. That is the whole list:
- Tuner: which tab you open; which setting you change; when a note is first held in tune; when the app asks for a rating; when the PitchPerfect Full offer opens and how it ends; and whether you got the app before or after it became free. For a setting with fixed choices, such as notation or theme, Tuner also sends the choice. It never sends a frequency you type or the name of your microphone.
- Monitor: which detection algorithm and scale you pick, and roughly how long a session runs.
- Both: whether you refused microphone access.
These counts carry no account and no name. The identifier behind them is hashed on your device before it is sent. Our analytics provider hashes it again, with a key we never hold. Neither of us can trace a count back to you.
We never link them to other data. We never share them with advertisers or data brokers.
Open Settings and switch off Share anonymous usage under Analytics. It starts on. Turning it off stops it completely.

Microphone Access
PitchPerfect apps use microphone access to analyse pitch in real time. Audio is processed entirely on your device. We do not record, store, or send your audio anywhere — the usage counts above never contain audio, pitch data, or anything you played or sang.
Subscriptions in Monitor
PitchPerfect Monitor offers a subscription, Monitor Pro. Apple takes the payment. We never see your card details. Apple’s privacy policy.
We use RevenueCat to check whether your subscription is active. Monitor contacts RevenueCat every time you open it, whether or not you ever buy. RevenueCat receives an identifier it generates itself, and your purchase receipt and the product you bought if you have one. Like any internet request, it also shows RevenueCat your IP address. It never receives your audio, your pitch data, or your usage counts.
The Share anonymous usage switch does not control this. Monitor needs it to know whether Monitor Pro is active.
Monitor also keeps your free listening time for the day on your device. That count never leaves it.
Purchases in Tuner
Tuner is free. PitchPerfect Full, a one-time purchase, adds Practice and Tone. Apple takes the payment. We never see your card details. Apple’s privacy policy.
Tuner asks Apple, on your device, whether you own PitchPerfect Full and whether you got the app before it became free. That answer stays on your device.
When you buy PitchPerfect Full, Tuner adds one count to the anonymous usage counts above. It carries the product, its price and currency, and your App Store country. It carries no name and no account. The Share anonymous usage switch controls it like every other count.
Tuner does not use RevenueCat.
Use of Your Information
The usage counts tell us which features people actually use, so we can improve the apps in the right places. In Tuner, the purchase count tells us how many people buy PitchPerfect Full. They are used for nothing else. In Monitor, the purchase receipt is used to unlock Monitor Pro and to count how many people subscribe.
Disclosure of Your Information
We disclose nothing to third parties beyond the anonymous counts sent to our analytics provider and, in Monitor, the purchase details sent to RevenueCat, both described above. We do not sell data, and we do not work with advertisers or data brokers.
Security of Your Information
Audio never leaves your device. The usage counts contain nothing that identifies you, and the identifier behind them cannot be reversed by us or by our analytics provider.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If future versions add optional features that collect or upload data, we will update this policy and the App Store privacy information before release. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.
